BE STRONG CLASS: Sex & The Pelvic Floor

  • GWU Outpatient Rehab K Street Northwest Washington, DC 20037 United States (map)

Join us to learn more about the role the pelvic floor plays in sex.  We'll be discussing common problems that women may face with sex, including pain, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. Learn what you can do to overcome these issues and get back to an enjoyable sex life!

Lauren Wohl will be teaching the course, and Marie Jeffsell will be assisting. Lauren completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at GWU in 2009. Since then she has worked with a variety of patient populations, focusing on orthopedic and pelvic health patients. She was at Georgetown University Hospital for 5 years, where she advanced her manual therapy skills, treated patients with chronic pelvic pain, incontinence and pre/post-natal pain and served on the faculty of the Georgetown University Hospital Women’s Health Residency program. She has earned her specialization certification in Orthopedics (OCS) and in Women’s Health (WCS) through the APTA. Currently she is an assistant teacher at GWU Physical Therapy school and works at the GWU Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, where she developed the pelvic floor PT program. Marie Jeffsell is a PT with over 25 years of experience who specializes in pelvic health patients.

We will hold the class in our clinic, but won't require registration, unless it's required by you! If so, we'll have people email me to register.
